The Island Hotel Wedding | Newport Beach Weddings

Love…love is what brings two people together. I always believe in power in numbers, and love made this family of three just that more complete. Meeting Joe and Kristin, a few months ago, it was no wonder they were getting married. Joe watches her every move, his eyes follows her, follow her beauty and compassion, simply put, he adores her. She adores him as well….it’s incredible to hear them speak to each other, soft, caring and quietly. I love being around them, and photographing them, because I love to photograph when I FEEL how much people love each other.

November 11, 2011 was a very busy day for the wedding industry and I was honored to share this monumental date with this couple, and little William, as well as both of their families. I also want to thank a handful of some amazing vendors who once again made such a great team, and made my job, of capturing all their hard work, that much more spectacular! And of Course Steven Reynolds for being an amazing second shooter. Cheers to Joe, Kristin, and Liam…..you are blessed!

Weddings in October. Photos in Palos Verdes. Getting ready at The Shade. Sisters, moms and brothers. Gorgeous dresses, beautiful family and college friends. Two people madly in love. A blanket of dramatic fog. Great wine. God. All of these things make for a perfect day, and a perfect day it was. Tatiana & Jeremy are very blessed. They met a few years ago and have been together for a few years, with their puppies (the chubby puggle), they are truly meant for each other! A small bridal party and a pretty intimate crowd made for a fantastic night full of dancing and laughing. I had never taken photos of a couple in the middle of super thick fog, and although a gorgeous colorful sunset is most likely what was anticipated, I love their golf course foggy, romantic and totally unique photos. Congratulations to a beautiful couple, cheers to many years and I can’t wait to see your family grow…..(whenever that may be!) XXOO Thank you to my husband Marc for second shooting with me, as always, you are a favorite, and to Lindsay Longacre with LVL Events for coordinating such an amazing event!

Pelican Hill Wedding | Newport Coast Wedding

Brazil….have you ever been? I haven’t…I also don’t speak Portuguese…well not until after this wedding. I really want to go to South America, and I would LOVE to speak Portuguese, especially after shooting this amazing very intimate wedding at Newport Coast’s Pelican Hill Resort. I love this place, truly nothing like it and I love Julio and Isabela, another amazing and beautiful couple. Julio and Isabela have been married for a while, in Brazil. Since the United States doesn’t recognize their marriage, and since they are expecting, they decided to celebrate their marriage ,in the US with a new set of vows! The wedding was very intimate, just family and close friends, at one of Orange County’s most posh resorts. Isabel was a referral from a favorite bride, Meghan Sanossian…always such a compliment to be referred by a past client! The day was seamless, thanks to Heather Hoesch of LVL Events, beautiful flowers by Jenny B Floral Design, and of course the terrific and undeniably amazing uplighting and entertainment by Tasos Tsirtsis of LSM Entertainment. Thank you everyone for such an amazing event and Thank you Isabela and Julio for such a fantastic day! Thank you to my dear friend Maggie Ford for once again sharing your talent in shooting this wedding with me!

Are you a believer? Do you believe that fate and God bring people together purposefully. Notice that I didn’t end that last sentence with a question mark. Mostly because I was telling, and sharing….not wanting an answer…..with my demanding, “do YOU”, I am telling you….you should or may, already, believe that is a truth…fate and God. I’ve known Julie for years. We danced in a high school musical together, which can forever connect you ( i hope you don;t see pics of me!). We hadn’t spoken in years, life as we know it does this to us. But our paths would once again cross. Friends on facebook, and then friends of those who remained on facebook. It was this that was to blame, well besides God and fate. Because yes, things are meant to be.

Julie’s MOH, sent me a Facebook message, asking if I’d like to photograph Julie and Art’s wedding if I was available. This message got to me about 11:00pm and being awake, I asked Carmen to call me. She called back within seconds and we talked about Julie, her wedding and my availability, since is was about 3 weeks away! I was available and was honored to be considered for this day. Talk about last minute, but truly…meant to be. Investing a little more than my time is what I demand for myself at any wedding I shoot, and taking photos at this wedding was going to make this emotional attachment super easy….knowing the family, knowing some history and sharing life….this is what I get to do. Any photographer would have been super excited to photograph such an amazing couple, with amazing friends and family as well as work with the incredible team of professionals who worked tireless to make this day amazing.

The ceremony began at the Sacred Heart Chapel at Loyola Marymount, where Julie and I, as well as her brother went to college. How amazing! I have always wanted to shoot a wedding across from my old dorm room window (seriously…it was my way of asking for forgiveness from cursing the bell that woke me up every morning at 8am!) Then The happily married couple sported their way up Pacific Coast Highway in a classic car to celebrate an amazing evening at the Church Estate Vineyard in Malibu….seriously, can this have been more amazing? Yes….thanks to Kevin Covey and his amazing talent, this wedding was truly spectacular for Julie and Art and I am very thankful to have been chosen as the one to make their memories of this very perfect day last forever! Hugs all around! Thank you Maggie Ford and Steven Reynolds for your assistance with shooting this gorgeous wedding. I couldn’t have done it without you!
