Chris Lindsay Designs: Christine Bentley Photography

.

I was a bride once. It was fun, there was so much planning to do. It was crazy! I have decided to give some of my advice (it is good believe me), to all my brides and future brides when they go to choose a vendor. On this blogsite I will now have a preferred vendor list. I will only feature one of my FAVORITE vendor from each category, after all if you are my favorite, then there is no one else that compares to you! For my first vendor tour, I present, Chris Lindsay Designs in Irvine, CA. Not only did I use them for my wedding, but because of their SUPERIOR arrangements and gifts I ALWAYS will use them for floral gifts as well as fine basket gifting. I have posted a few images here, but to learn more about Chris Lindsay Designs, please visit their website by clicking on their name in this post or www.chrislindsay.com. Also visit my vendor section to see why they are truly the best choice for your special occasion!

Marc Weisberg: Thank you!

We all have our favorites don’t we? Favorite ice cream, favorite jewelry, favorite friends? I have favorites too, and lately it all comes from photography. I have a favorite photographer, well many actually that are my favorites. To be one of my favorites there are a lot of qualities you MUST have, not only do you need to be personable, kind, spiritual, loving, happy, fun, giving, well rounded, and passionate, but I have to LOVE your work. Yep, no way around that one! I met Marc Weisberg a few weeks ago, he meets all this criteria and believe me I am tough. The man is a genius behind the lense. He has shot more than 400+ weddings, can you believe it! Please check out his work by clicking on his name in this post, you’ll see exactly what I am talking about. As a firm believer in the never ending learning curve of photography, I was so excited and honored to accompany Marc and Kevin Connors(another amazing and talented man, portrait photographer of the year in San Diego WOOHOO) with their wedding today. I know that I took more mental notes than photographs, but watching these men work was like totally inspiring. I did take a few photos, it was a beautiful day, beautiful wedding party, an awesome experience and I have Marc to thank. Thank you, I had a great time, you are amazing! Thank you Kevin Connors as well for allowing me to shadow you. Your kindness and sense of humor are contagious, it was my pleasure to meet you! XXOO

Officer & a, well….he is the gentleman! Can you feel the love? This is every reason why I want and love to photograph weddings. This couple in Boise, Idaho this weekend, were amazing. This is the first look, you know the first time that the groom sees his bride for the first time? It sometimes is difficult to talk a couple into seeing each other before the wedding. But this guys, is the greatest time to get the best shots. I’ll tell you now, it’s not bad luck, no worries there and usually that’s not what stops a couple, it’s thinking that doing this will take away from the ceremony, and the groom wont be so “shocked” (in a good way). Believe me you, it NEVER takes away! If anything is adds to the moment, knowing there was that secret time, no one really knows about, that the couple are ALONE, to love each other and look at each other on their wedding day for the very first time. Congratulations! It was a beautiful day….even in 36 degree weather!!!!! XXOO

How many of you wish you had more time in a day? I find this to be true most days for me, at least while running a photography business, raising two boys 2 and 4 years old and just having time to breathe! I have always been one to keep busy, and I love the challenge of doing new things….but I would much rather have more time to get it all done. Here are a couple more images from last Sunday. Tomorrow I’ll just have to get most of them done and off to my vendors! XXOO
