Indian Weddings in Orange County are pretty rare, well at least for me! I love to photograph anything with color, with life and tradition, and of course when all those things include a wedding it’s AMAZING! This wedding was at 7 Degrees in Laguna Beach, California and I have to say I was thrilled to be part of what turned into a 2 fabulous weddings at this Orange County Venue! It was awesome and I have 3 amazing friends to thank for assisting in this marathon, Gustavo Fernandez from San Francisco, Heidi Morgan from Santa Cruz, and Maggie Ford from Irvine! Thank you guys it was amazing with you and so much fun!

I met Lalantika and Chris a couple months ago! Truly they were in love and ready to get on with their real life! They traveled the world together in their pretend one and now they mean business! It wasn’t long after Chris proposed that I met them in my Irvine Studio. Seriously this was something I knew I was dying to photograph! WOW…I mean look below at the images! What incredible details and fun, I was so excited that they decided to book me for not only this wedding, but also a few hours later a full traditional American wedding….talk about a fantastic day!

A little about this couple, sailing, UCLA, and astronomy…pretty much says it all….but look at the smiles, the beauty and the love between the two. This couple was so much fun to work worth! All night long I felt like the luckiest photographer in the entire world because not only was I able to capture all these amazing moments, but I truly felt as though I was at my friend’s wedding. You guys are amazing and have a special place in my heart, enjoy PART ONE, yep..this is just PART ONE, of your fabulous day! XO

Summer weddings are amazing! You think sun flowers don’t you? This couples was married in Orange County last weekend and the decor was well beyond sunflowers….think green sunflowers, think purple orchids and think about 2 different themes! Chris Lindsay Designs went all out thanks to Leslie Macmillan and Char Walker. They are close friends with the bride, Cyndi Cail and catering director for Plums Cafe in Costa Mesa. The details for this wedding were more than out of the ordinary. They are spectacular. It was so hard to create this post and I had so many more detail and people images it was hard to put together.

Cyndi is one of those people that you meet and love right away. She is sincere and sweet and beautiful! John is wonderful as well and just as loving! There was a lot of emotion going on this day. I cried twice! Maybe it was an emtional weekend for me (I cried the next day for my next bride too), but for sure you could feel the energy and the love all day long! I totally lost it when Cyndi and Olivia looked at each other. Olivia is such a beautiful girl and the emotional bond that these two share go far beyond mother and daughter. I couldn’t help but think of my Mom when they embraced and cried in each other’s arms. Tears of joy to be sure, and a lot behind that they carry with them. I was so honored to share this day with 3 other photographers! Gustavo Fernandez from San Francisco, Heidi Morgan from Santa Cruz and Maggie Ford, my Irvine neighbor. A wedding of such scale is so wonderful to capture with friends! I had an awesome time and love all the images we captured together. Cyndi and John, just wait, there are so many many more for you. Bless you both…..you are truly wonderful people!

So, if you had a bride on her honeymoon tell you that she is blog stalking you for her images what would you do? HILARIOUS! So not only did I cry at this girls wedding, but while sifting through 9000+ images of her 17 hour wedding, I came across an image that stopped me in my tracks…..one that I was inspired by looking at an ad in the latest In Style Magazine. Well…this was my vision, once again something that the clock allowed me to have time to do. But please know that every image is not edited this way. If it was, my brides would need to wait a lifetime to see their images! These are on occasion what I LOVE to do for my favorite ladies, which of course have pretty much been all my brides. This is what I call a Fine Art Edit. Not a light edit or artistic edit. Which are different. The Photo below is intended to be printed on the finest quality paper in the world, competition ready and of course a true work of art…..I love Lalantika, she’s so beautiful and I love this photo! I love wedding details. What girl does not love her shoes, and her lingerie? I love this shot, and I also love that I got to play with it a little. I am so in love with these Stuart Weitzman shoes….gotta get me a pair. This is a shot I did at last weekends wedding. I imagined just like this, with the added texture and fun….I had time to play and I love that. If you are a bride reading this, mine or not, consider that time is essential for quality images. If you want your photographer to do a good job, give them some time, for a great job, a little more…..for a fantastic job and artistic photos….well…you need A LOT of time….anyways, I can’t play with all my images like this. But it sure is fun to make some art every now and then!!! XO
